Questions
Yes, for qualified customers. We offer payment plans when we can, with no interest. A plan is about when the fee is paid, not a different price. Call and ask, and we can also explain how bail bonds work.
The fee is 10% of the bond amount, along with court fees, and a plan for qualified customers changes when it is paid, not the price. Court fees differ by court and charge. A felony bail bond starts from the amount a judge sets.
Ohio courts must hold a first bail hearing by the second day the court is open, and can change the bail conditions at a later hearing held promptly. The amount must be the least costly one that still makes sure the person comes to court. Some courts take a 10% deposit paid directly to the court. A lawyer can raise this at the hearing, and qualified customers can ask us about a payment plan.
Ohio law says collateral held for a bond must be returned within 21 days after the court discharges the bond. Signed promises to pay, such as promissory notes and indemnity agreements, are not covered by that deadline. Any of our offices takes calls at any hour, and our 24 hour bail bonds page covers calling at night.
