Why Us
Under a Clinton County Municipal Court order in place since February 1, 2022, the arresting officer sets the money bond on most charges, while a judge sets it on many first- and second-degree felonies and listed violent charges. So the amount usually starts with the officer's paperwork. Our South Street team then walks you through the fee and the co-signer duties, overnight too.
Questions
Under the court's order, in place since February 1, 2022, the arresting officer sets it on most charges, not the clerk. The judge sets bond on many first- and second-degree felonies and on listed violent charges.
The schedule lists fourth-degree felonies at $25,000 and fifth-degree at $15,000, with misdemeanors $2,500 to $10,000. OVI starts at $10,000 for a first offense in 10 years and reaches $50,000 for any felony OVI.
The court's 10% deposit, which is separate from a bail bond, is not permitted for first-, second-, or third-degree felonies or felony OVI, but it is permitted on fourth- and fifth-degree felonies. The jail is at 1645 Davids Drive, phone (937) 383-4813.
