Why Us
A traffic arrest can be confusing, so we explain the court date and, once the court sets a dollar amount, the bond.

Questions
A traffic charge does not always need a bond, because an officer may issue a summons instead of making an arrest, and a person called in by a summons is normally released without a bond. When a court sets an amount, a bail bond is one way to meet it. See misdemeanor bail bonds for how the courts' set bail amounts work.
Yes, in most cases. Ohio courts add a $25 bail surcharge, except on non-moving traffic offenses, and it is separate from our fee. Courts add their own fees too. OVI bail bonds carry the same court surcharge.
A warrant can follow. A bond can be written when the warrant or the court sets one, and the amount depends on that court. We sometimes turn a bond down after a missed prior court appearance, so call and ask. Our warrant bail bonds page has more, and the clerk can confirm the amount.
The fee is 10% of the bond amount, along with court fees. Traffic bond fees of 10% are not returned. The amount often starts from the court's list of set bail amounts, which covers traffic offenses, and a judge can set a different one. You can also read about how bail bonds work.
