Why Us
Theft charges range from small to serious, so we start with the amount the court set and explain the bond from there.

Questions
Theft starts as a first-degree misdemeanor and becomes a felony as the value rises, a fifth-degree felony at $1,000 and a fourth-degree felony at $7,500. Theft from some victims is charged on a different scale. See misdemeanor bail bonds for the lower charges.
A misdemeanor theft can follow the court's bail schedule before the first appearance. On a felony theft, a judge sets bail using factors that include the person's record and whether they have missed court before. Our felony bail bonds page covers those factors.
Yes, it can. Past missed court dates are a factor in the amount, and we sometimes turn a bond down because of one. If there is an open warrant, tell us when you call so we can talk it through.
The fee is 10% of the bond amount, along with court fees. Theft bond fees of 10% are not returned. The amount depends on the charge level and the court. Collateral may be asked for on some theft bonds. Read more about how bail bonds work. Ask for a theft bond quote
