Our Services

Surety bonds go through an agent and the fee is not returned; cash at the court can come back.

Co-signers can owe the full bond if the person misses court, so we explain that plainly.

A bond depends on every court date, and one missed date can put the full amount at risk.

Questions
No, the 10% fee is not returned. A separate court fee may come back after the court case is completely over. Money deposited directly with a court follows the court's own rules. Qualified customers can ask about payment plans if the fee is the hard part.
A judge or a court's list of set bail amounts sets bail, and a licensed agent and insurer promise the court the full amount if the person does not appear. The family pays the agent a fee for that promise. If the person makes every court date and the case ends, the bond ends too. A warrant bail bond follows the same idea.
It is $500. That figure is our fee before court fees, and it is not returned. The court's own 10% deposit is a different thing, paid to the court, with 90% of the deposit returned when every condition is met.
It depends on the money you can spare and on what the court allows. Full cash can come back when the case ends. A court can apply cash the defendant posted to fines and costs, but not cash a family member posted unless that person approves. A bond costs less up front, but its fee is not returned. Ohio courts choose the options available in each case.
The court can order the full bond paid. The clerk mails notice to the person and the bond company within 15 days, and they have 45 to 60 days after mailing to show why it should not be paid. Good reason, such as bringing the person to court, can avoid payment. A co-signer stays responsible, so keep every date. Call us at any hour if a date was missed. Our 24 hour bail bonds page covers calling at night.
